The following is a list of  the trees that we hope to have for sale at some point this year.  Please call or email to check current availability.  The heights and spreads given in the descriptions are what you can expect for a mature tree approximately ten years of age.

Parrotia persica ‘Ruby Vase’

Shape: Upright vase-shaped crown
Foliage: Flushes bronzy-red and keeps this well into summer
Fall Colour: Mostly an intense scarlet-red
Bark: Older bark is handsome, flaking in patches to display green, tan, white and gray.
Likes Sun, very tolerant once established.
H’ to 30′ W to 15′

Parrotia persica (Persian Ironwood)

Shape: Spreading with irregular branching habit
Foliage: Flushes bronzy-red and keeps this well into summer.
Flower: Insignificant red flowers on bare branches in spring
Fall Colour: Yellow, orange, red and purple.
Bark: Older bark is handsome, flaking in patches to display green, tan, white and gray.
Likes Sun, drought tolerant once established.

Prunus ceracifera ‘Pissardi Nigra’ (Purple Plum)

Early, pale pink flowers with red centers.
Leaves maintain their red colour throughout the summer.
Good fall colour.
Likes sun, drought tolerant when established

Prunus incisa ‘Little Twist’ (Flowering Cherry)

Profuse clusters of white flowers with pink centers in early spring.
Leaves are green and turn orange to maroon red in the fall.
Stems and shoots that zigzag provide winter interest.
Fast grower, drought tolerant, tough.
Likes sun to part shade, adaptable to various soils.

Prunus serrulata ‘Royal Burgundy’ (Ornamental Cherry)

A slightly slower growing, purple foliaged form of the Kwanzan cherry

Prunus serrulata ‘Amanagawa’ (Flowering Cherry)

Very narrow columnar tree.
Semi-double pink flowers in later spring.
Good along property line or driveways.

Prunus serrulata ‘Kwanzan’ (Flowering Cherry)

A good strong grower with vase-like habit.
Very showy, double hot pink flowers in mid spring.
Good fall colours.

Early free flowering, delicate pink semi-double in drooping clusters.

Metallic coppery-purple foilage.

Prunus yedoensis ‘Akebono’

Shape: Graceful wide-spreading branches

Flower: Masses of large semi-double blush pink flowers, that fade to white, on bare branches in early spring.

Prunus ‘Snow Goose’ (Snow Goose Cherry)

Upright when young, becoming wider with age.
Pure white single flowers appear before leaves in spring.
Bright green foliage turns orange in fall.
Likes sun, tolerates some shade, some drought and seaside conditions.
Resistant to common cherry foliage diseases.

Pyrus calleryana ‘Capital’ (Callery Pear)

Shape:  narrow-columnar, thornless, ornamental pear tree that may have a central leader.
Foliage: Glossy green leaves stay well into fall
Fall Colour: Leaves turn attractive reddish-purple to bronze-red in fall.
Flowers: Creamy white flowers (each to 3/4” wide) in dense corymbs appear in profusion in early spring.
Fruit:   Small, inedible, greenish-yellow fruits (to 1/2” diameter)
Likes full sun, drought and clay tolerant
